Suzi Perry to host 2026 Black Country Chamber Business Awards

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards are back – boasting a celebrity host for their milestone 25th anniversary year.
Motorsport broadcaster and Wolves Foundation ambassador Suzi Perry has been unveiled as the star host of this year’s glittering finals in November.
To launch the 2026 awards, last year’s winners and highly commended companies were joined at celebration lunch at Wolverhampton Racecourse by 2025 award category partners and judges.
Chamber CEO Sarah Moorhouse outlined a number of exclusive partnership opportunities available at the awards, including headline partner, category partner and programme partner options.
Sarah said: “We all recognise that the Black Country is a special place to do business, and we are so proud that our awards continue to spotlight the very best innovation, drive and success in our region.
“This year’s awards will be particularly special as we celebrate not only the silver anniversary of our awards, but also the 170th year of the Chamber as a business support organisation in this region.
“Our partnerships are a brilliant way for companies and organisations in the region to demonstrate their support of our business community, while also benefitting from the additional profile across our numerous platforms and in the media.”
The 2026 ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 12 at Wolverhampton Racecourse, with applications opening on 7 April.
Twelve award categories reflect the diversity of the Black Country business community and include Start Up Business of the Year, Family Business of the Year, International Trade Excellence and Black Country Future Star. There’s also two new categories for 2026, Catalyst for Creativity open to businesses in the creative sector and Bostin’ Business Person of the Year, exclusively open to Chamber’s 50 Bostin’ Black Country businesses.
The flagship Business of the Year will be selected by the headline partner from among the business category winners.
Last year saw the largest ever number of applications across all categories with Cradley-based RunFlat International named Business of the Year, recognised for its rapid expansion across the globe. Its innovative tyre inserts that can withstand extreme conditions are sold in 45 markets worldwide.
RunFlat operations director Tom Westley said: “Winning Business of the Year showcases how we’re exporting really good quality products all over the world from right here in the Black Country.”
Last year’s headline partner of the year was The University of Wolverhampton. Vikki Potts, head of school, business and law, added: “Our relationship with the Chamber is vital in strengthening links between academia and the regional business community. It seemed a natural progression for us to move our partnership with the awards to the next level.”
