GG2On Friday 6th July the Auditorium of The Technology Centre welcomed 150 students and business guests to witness a private unveiling of a sculpture titled "A Sporting Chance for Peace" created by Donald Brown an Award-Winning Sculptor and Inspirational Speaker. This event covered the following topics for students' emotional well-being, resilience, bullying, building self-esteem, developing confidence and nurturing respect for yourself as well as others.


This event was sponsored by Heads Start and supported by Aladdin's Education, The Global Gallery, PLANit Global and School of Coding. The event was opened by special guest Wolverhampton Mayor Phil Page, who encouraged the students to never give up and always follow their dreams.

Donald Brown, Director of The Global Gallery has launched an initiative called The Patron's Plan to give back to the community. https://theglobalgallery.com/the-patrons-plan/

The print of his "A Sporting Chance for Peace" sculpture costs £35. For every 100 prints that are sold, a replica of the sculpture will be donated to a school, business or establishment. "Every print purchased will also help support a global arts campaign against bullying and violence."
