The Guildhall Incubation Programme: A New Route for Creative Businesses to Grow

Applications are now open for the Guildhall Incubation Programme, a new cohort-based initiative supporting business-ready creative enterprises as part of the transformation of the historic Guildhall into a Creative Industries Hub.

The programme will support up to 15 creative businesses and practitioners who are already trading, or close to trading, and who have the ambition to grow sustainably within the new hub. Applications close on Sunday 1st March.

Designed as a clear pathway into the Creative Industries Hub, the programme combines practical business support with access to specialist facilities. Participants who successfully complete the programme will be offered three months of free workspace in the Guildhall, helping them establish their business, build confidence, and embed themselves within a collaborative working environment.

Running from April to December, the programme includes a focused business bootcamp, mentoring, peer support, and hands-on training in makerspace equipment such as 3D printing, large-format printing, and digital fabrication. Sessions also cover a range of subjects eg: financial planning, pricing, and digital marketing.

The Guildhall Incubation Programme takes a broad view of the creative industries, welcoming digital creatives, designers, makers,  and craftspeople. Its wider aims include retaining creative talent locally, supporting job creation, encouraging cross-sector collaboration, and contributing to town-centre regeneration.

Creative businesses are encouraged to apply, and Chamber members are invited to share the opportunity within their networks.
