The Awards celebrate those at the forefront of innovation across various industries. This year’s event saw a diverse range of winners, showcasing ground-breaking advancements across manufacturing, engineering, sustainability, and technology. Winners were chosen by a distinguished judging panel that included leaders from Innovate UK Business Growth, TechWM, WMG, and the Institute of Directors (IoD). Over £13,200 was raised for the chosen charity of the evening, The Army Benevolent Fund, with heartfelt stories that deeply moved the audience. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight upon hearing the first-hand experience of John Cutting, who spoke about his early days in Northern Ireland and the trauma that has followed him since. His story took an uplifting turn as he shared his new-found love for art as a way to focus his attention and his educational success, having achieved a Master of Arts degree with the support of The Army Benevolent Fund.
The evening wasn’t without surprises, with an impromptu concert from talented hospitality team members energising the crowd of over 500 attendees. The lively atmosphere, combined with the exceptional recognition of innovation, made the Innovation Awards 2024 an unforgettable celebration of achievement.
