Thursfields' employment law experts are hosting a series of free seminars across several locations to support small businesses ahead of the EU's new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) this May.
On 15th March, Thursfields will be speaking at the University of Worcester at a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Hereford & Worcester branch event on the practical steps organisations can take to make themselves GDPR-ready.
Michelle O'Hara, head of employment at Thursfields and a CIPD-qualified employment solicitor, will host a discussion around the practical implications of GDPR for HR professionals and their organisations.
Thursfields will also host its own GDPR seminars at its HR Exchange forum on Thursday 22 March, which take place at the leading Midlands law firm's offices in Worcester, Solihull and Halesowen.
Michelle O'Hara said: "With only a few months to go before the GDPR regulations are introduced, the countdown is very much on.
"We all know that it is coming, but what key action should HR teams be taking to make sure they are prepared?
"Thursfields' employment law team will be exploring how GDPR will affect HR processes, and the session will look at useful practical steps HR can take in advance of May 2018 to ensure compliance."
The Thursfields' offices hosting the HR Exchange event are at:
- 9-10 The Tything, Worcester WR1 1HD, with employment solicitor Lisa Kemp.
- 9 The Courtyard, Warwick Road, Solihull B91 3DA, with employment solicitor Jade Linton.
- Hyefield House, 36 Hagley Road, Halesowen B63 4RH, with employment solicitor James Monk.
