We will be hosting the UK's first ever hybrid horse and greyhound racing fixture.
The UK’s First Horse & Greyhound Double-Header!
Get ready for a massive day of action at Dunstall Park on Saturday 7th March 2026. We’re making history by hosting the UK’s first-ever combined horse and greyhound racing fixture, and you’re invited to the party!
Whether you’re a regular at the track or just love a Saturday winner, this is one for the books. We’re celebrating 100 years of the dogs in the UK by pairing a full evening of greyhound racing with a high-stakes afternoon of horse racing.
The Main Event: Hooves Turn to Paws
The dogs take over from in the evening with a stacked race card. It’s the perfect warm-up for our next big one - the £12,500 ARC Laurels, which kicks off just a few weeks later.
If you want to make a full day of it, your ticket gets you in early for the horse racing (starting at 1:42pm), featuring the £60,000 Lady Wulfruna Stakes. We’ve also got the brilliant Radio Murphy playing live Irish folk music in The Ringside Suite to keep the craic going between the two sessions.

Chris Black, our General Manager here at the Greyhound Stadium, is buzzing for the turnout:
“Just like racehorses, greyhounds adore their racing. The sport facilitates an opportunity for them to fulfil their primary instinct, before resting their paws on the sofa in retirement which we’re proud to support in partnership with our homing partners. We’ll be showcasing this and more on the day, and look forward to welcoming plenty of new faces trackside to our Saturday evening fixtures.”
The Game Plan
12pm: Gates open. Grab a spot and a drink!
Afternoon: Seven horse races to get things started.
The Interval: Live music from Radio Murphy in The Ringside Suite.
Evening: Greyhound racing completes the day.
