Up Levelling for Acorn Support

Acorn Support has moved into larger offices at Cradley Enterprise Centre, an exciting step forward for the team. This includes a dedicated meeting and training room, designed to give clients the privacy and focus needed for meaningful conversations around people, performance, and development.

In April the Acorn team made a decision that felt both exciting and, if we’re honest, a little daunting….we moved offices.

We had been settled in our previous office for the 3 years. It was bright, familiar, and had served us very well. But something wasn’t quite right. The long and narrow layout didnt really reflected how we work as a team and more importantly, it didn’t give us the private focused space for us and our clients.

The opportunity came up to take on two offices just 40 steps away from our original base, still at Cradley Enterprise Centre, Cradley, West Midlands. After some initial hesitation, questions around cost, disruption, and whether it was the right move, right now, we decided to go for it.

On Monday 23rd March, we opened the doors to our new office and dedicated meeting room and we haven’t looked back.

The change hasn’t just been the layout, it’s how we work.

We now have a dedicated fully equipped meeting room with projection facilities, a large writing board, and the right setup for online meetings. But more importantly, we’ve created an environment where clients can step away from the day-to-day and focus on what really matters.

The reality of our work is that we have many of the conversations that are sensitive. Be it a one-to-one discussion with an employee, navigating a grievance, or coaching a business owner through a difficult situation, these moments need privacy. They need space. They need time. That is just what we can offer now.

We’re already seeing the impact internally too with our enthusiasm for our environment. There’s a stronger sense of connection, more sharing of ideas, and a noticeable shift in how we present ourselves. It feels like we’ve stepped into the level we’ve been working towards.

For me personally, this move represents something important. Through my own coaching as a business owner, I’ve become very conscious of how we show up, for our team and clients. We are not a “back street” consultancy. We work closely with our clients medium-sized businesses across manufacturing, professional services, and healthcare, helping them support and develop their people, not just reacting when issues arise.

This move is part of that commitment and representation of the quality of our work, the professionalism of our team, and the value we bring to our clients.

We didn’t make this move alone. Along with the Acorn team we have a big thank you to Lift & Engineering Services Ltd and HarkerFox Ltd for their support in making the move happen.
