Vogue UK hold Wear it Pink day to raise money for Breast cancer action group Wolverhampton
With October being Breast Cancer awareness month & current figures showing that in the UK someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes, as a company Vogue UK decided to do their bit & hold a wear it pink day to raise money for local action group - Breast cancer action Wolverhampton.
The Breast cancer action group Wolverhampton are a friendly group, offering their members the opportunity to share experiences and receive support via regular meetings and social events.
Over the years they have raised a significant amount of money via events such as table sales at New Cross hospital & all money raised is used to improve services and equipment at the Deansley centre.
They also work closely with Macmillans & Compton Care.
During our event we raised a total of £600 through paying £1 each to wear pink for the day, playing several pink themed games & selling breast cancer awareness pens, badges & note books.
We plan to attend the Breast cancer action group's next meeting to make our donation.
Our warehouse manager who runs a local karate group Tividale shotokan also ran a pink belt class & donated half of the class fees.
