What was the last book you actually read?

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” – Jim Rohn

As a child I was always encouraged to read, as a teen reading bored me and as an adult I ‘never have time’. But something has changed and now. I can’t stop and it has made me wonder just what I have missed out on. What else could I have learned or achieved if I’d read more?

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” – Jim Rohn

If these words are true then I have been very ordinary for many years and I am determined to ‘rise above’ and take my personal development to the next level by reading, reading, reading!

What are you going to do to be less ordinary?

Since starting to work here at ActionCOACH Black Country I have stared at the book shelf of over 300 books and wondered where to start, but it isn’t just about reading, it is about learning.

We are all guilty of acting on auto pilot – it’s like when you arrive at your destination after a long drive and wonder how you got there – and if we read on autopilot too then what is the outcome? We can add another book to the shelf and tell our friends we’ve read X number of books. But what if we read with purpose?

I now not only read books but I look for learnings in them. I look for how I can apply these learnings to make my own business go to the next level and how I can support other business owners with the strategies that I have learned.

Knowledge is power as they say. So use 2021 as the year you get your super power and take the world of business by storm.
