A Wolverhampton based not-for-profit organisation is inviting its customers and local community to celebrate their 150th anniversary with a Family Fun Day this Summer.
Paycare, which provides a range of Health Cash Plans to individuals, employees, and their families, are proud to announce that they are hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday 1st September. The day will take place between 11am – 4pm at The Paycare Stadium at Darlaston Town FC and is free for anybody to attend, with donations welcomed at the door.
Originally formed in 1874 to support factory workers with everyday healthcare costs, the Health Cash Plan provider has since helped millions of people claim back cash on everything from optical and dental appointments to physiotherapy, diagnostic tests, and wellbeing treatments. The not-for-profit has since raised over £2 million to worthy causes and spent the last 150 years supporting the community to be happier and healthier.
The fun day will celebrate the organisations 150th year, bringing together Policyholders, partners and families to continue it’s support within the community. The special, charity-led event will include a variety of stalls, music, chances to win prizes, yummy refreshments, a fun dog competition, family activities and more, including an exciting charity football match between Paycare's Allstars and their Darlaston rivals.
The organisation will be fundraising all-important funds to support three local charities - The Haven Wolverhampton, The Good Shepherd Wolverhampton and YMCA Black Country.
Jade Secker, Fundraising Manager at The Haven Wolverhampton, said: “Celebrating 150 years is an incredible milestone, and we are both honoured and delighted to have been asked to be involved, given our long-standing partnership with Paycare. The funds raised from the day and donated to The Haven will continue to ensure women and children can have somewhere safe to turn when fleeing from domestic abuse.”
Lucy Cox, Project Manager from Good Shepherd, said:
“Paycare have been fantastic supporters of the Good Shepherd for many years both in making donations or getting involved in fundraising events. Being involved in the Paycare Family Fun Day will help raise funds and awareness of our work providing a range of free-to-access food and support services for people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage across the city, and we look forward to what will undoubtedly be a fantastic day of celebration.”
In addition to inviting Policyholders and the local community, the organisation is doing a shout out to corporate customers and local businesses who would like to get involved on the big day – including donations, exhibition stands and sponsorship opportunities.
Anthony Burns, Chief Executive of Paycare, said:
“Celebrating 150 years of Paycare is such a momentous milestone for us as an organisation, and one that the whole Paycare team is exceptionally proud of. We’re thrilled to announce our Family Fun Day event, welcoming our loyal Policyholders, local organisations, partners, our fantastic community and incredible charities to what is promised to be a fun-filled day for all the family, raising money for incredible causes. It’s not to be missed!”
