Is the Royal Mail delivering for business?

Black Country Chamber of Commerce is conducting a major survey to find out the truth about the state of the postal service.

The Chamber wants to gauge the level of satisfaction with the Royal Mail after receiving scores of complaints from businesses about late deliveries, cancelled collections and a general worsening of the service.

The survey results will be used to show Royal Mail management how businesses feel about the service.

Chamber President Peter Mathews CMG says: “The Royal Mail is developing a reputation as being unfriendly towards business.

“We want our members to help us compile a dossier of evidence that we can use when we meet with senior management at Royal Mail.

“The decline in the standards of service means it’s no surprise that so many businesses are being forced to abandon the Royal Mail and seek alternative methods of getting their post delivered.

“Businesses spend millions of pounds a day on postage; they deserve a first class service.”
