The latest from the Black Country

Chamber Patrons Visit the New University of Wolverhampton Business School

image1The University of Wolverhampton, a long standing Patron of Black Country Chamber of Commerce, kindly hosted the latest Patron “Behind the Scenes” Meeting at their new Business School in Wolverhampton. Chamber Patrons were invited to talk over lunch in the new Executive Suite and received a brief presentation of the products and services offered to businesses by the University.

A walking tour then began of the various faculties including education, health & wellbeing, where a fascinating tour and presentation was given in the learning labs and the Patrons also met the SIM Family. This was followed by a visit to the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Matt Rhodes, Commercial Services Manager from Quiss Technology plc, said: “We thought we knew what to expect; a tour of a university; an establishment for students to gain a degree. What we discovered was a facility with so much more to offer to both individuals and businesses. A real eye opener.”

The Chamber Patron “Behind the Scenes” meetings enable The Patron Group to discover more regarding the business of their fellow Chamber Patron, which then gives them the opportunity to work with each other. Our Chamber Patrons play a key role in advancing the prosperity of the area and in helping us to achieve our goal of doubling the size of the Black Country economy by 2023.
