Quiss Technology Signs IT Support Deal with Phoenix

Managed IT services provider Quiss Technology has signed a deal to support fellow Black Country Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) member, Phoenix Calibration & Services Ltd, based in Brierley Hill.

The successful and growing business specialises in materials testing technology, with Phoenix delivering a complete range of quality services and solutions to the problems faced by clients, right across the globe.

Quiss Technology Sales Executive Rob Wheeler commented: “It is Phoenix’s continuing success that first brought our services to their attention. Growth has put even more pressure on the firm’s IT resources and placed greater demand on those who ensure it is robust, secure and always available.

“My first conversation with Vicki was at a networking event organised by the BCCC, for patrons like ourselves to meet members of The Platinum Group - strategically important businesses within the manufacturing, automotive, logistics, freight and transport sectors.

“Like many of the organisations we support, Vicki was worried that as their business continued to grow and add new services, their current IT support arrangements did not align with the long term strategic plan of the business – a common issue.

“The senior management team at Phoenix recognised the switch to outsourced IT support would not only solve the immediate challenge of keeping everyone online and connected, but offer a long term partner to help align the firm’s IT resources with its long term objectives.

“We have clients all over the world, but it is particularly satisfying to support another successful local business that typifies what the Midlands is famous for, enterprise and technology.”

Phoenix Calibration & Services Ltd. Managing Director Vicki Wilkes said: “Our IT support was sufficient for where the business was, but perhaps not for where it is going.

“We sought ad-hoc support and relied on some of the highly qualified technical people within our business to deal with simple IT issues, creating an unwanted distraction from their primary tasks, which is never a good idea.

“Talking with Quiss made me realise we were in a common position with our IT, faced by most growing businesses and that we needed the additional resources available from a managed IT service provider like Quiss.
