Google is forcing the Internet to be a safer place by highlighting websites that do not have an SSL (secure socket layer) protecting their websites.

“This move has been known to the web industry for 4 years yet still so many websites are not secured.” Shaun continues, “If a company’s website isn’t secure two things will happen, both negative. Firstly, your current rankings in a Google search will fall, and secondly visitors will not complete forms or text fields in your website, so enquiries will also reduce.”

Shaun concludes, “This is a serious issue and urgently needs addressing.”
