SIRC Research Showcase event will disseminate the cutting edge research currently being carried out, the focus will be on life sciences.

About this Event

SIRC Event - Come and join us for the online Science in Industry Research Centre (SIRC) Showcase on the 19th May 2021. The Science in Industry Research Centre (SIRC) is an exciting project based at the Wolverhampton Science Park and run by the University of Wolverhampton.

SIRC supports businesses to develop new science-based products and processes. The centre supports SMEs (small to medium enterprises) in the Black Country, Greater Birmingham and Solihull, The Marches as well as Stoke on Trent & Staffordshire.

Eligible applicants benefit from initial fully funded support to refine their product concept and its development requirements (typically a minimum of 12 hours support from SIRC specialists). For businesses with an innovative product of high potential, additional support can be provided by specialist academic, technical and research staff at the University of Wolverhampton in the form of:

• Intellectual Property (IP) review and guidance
• IP grants
• Scientific research
• New product design & prototyping
• Laboratory testing
