Training Provider Celebrates Awards Success

Performance Through People, a West Midlands based training provider with over 40 years' experience, are celebrating after being named as finalists in two prestigious awards. 

PTP are finalists in the Education and Business Partnership category of the Black Country Chamber Awards, which recognises the way educational organisations build relationships with the business community and ensure their learners develop the skills employers are looking for. The shortlist was revealed at a special event on 12 September at Casino 36 in Wolverhampton and the winners will be announced at an awards celebration on 9 November at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

The company were delighted to also be shortlisted in the Learning Provider category of the Asian Apprenticeship Awards for the second year running. The Awards, which are in their third year, recognise and celebrate the talent and diversity among apprentices within the British Asian community and the employers and learning providers who support them. The winners will be announced at an event at Edgbaston Stadium on 29 November.

PTP have a strong track record of working closely with employers and schools in the region to ensure that the training they offer meets the needs of local businesses, while at the same time equipping young people with knowledge of the types of jobs that are available in the area and the paths they can take to achieve these.

It recognises the commitment our staff show to delivering training which supports businesses and people, improving productivity for employers and helping individuals from all parts of our local community to achieve their career goals. This year we are particularly excited to see that a number of our apprentices and employers that we work with are also finalists in their categories of the Black Country Chamber and Asian Apprenticeship Awards and look forward to celebrating everyone's success at the Awards Ceremonies in November."

Performance Through People have training centres in Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Cannock and Newcastle-under-Lyme. They work with large and small employers across a wide range of industries to deliver apprenticeships, including Administration, Care, Warehouse and Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Management and Team Leading, Accounting, Childcare, Retail, Hospitality, Travel, Dental Nursing, Customer Service, Sales and IT. They also run traineeship programmes to improve employability skills for those young people not quite ready for an apprenticeship and offer courses and personalised support to help people who are unemployed back in to work. In addition, the company delivers a range of commercial short courses in areas including IT, Management, Health and Safety and Business Skills which employers can use to upskill their workforce.
