Early careers are something we at Albert Jagger are proud of. These provide young people an opportunity to develop through apprenticeships and start out on their career journey. Becoming an apprentice can be a great way to gain valuable experience and skills. For Aaron Sall, completing his Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship at Albert Jagger has been a rewarding and fulfilling journey.

“After leaving school I knew University wasn’t the right route for me. I liked the idea of earning a living whilst learning and training on the job, and I knew an apprenticeship was the route I wanted to pursue.”

Over the course of his apprenticeship, Aaron gained experience in different areas of the business, allowing him to work on a project which streamlines the current returns process. He worked closely with different departments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that would make the process more efficient. This was a challenging but rewarding experience for Aaron, as he was able to see the results of his efforts. It also allowed him to gain a broad understanding of how the company operates and how the different departments work together.

Throughout his apprenticeship, Aaron received guidance and support from his manager and colleagues. They were always willing to answer any questions and provide him with feedback on his work, helping to develop his skills and confidence.

As Aaron’s apprenticeship ended, he reflected on the many benefits of the experience over the last 18 months. Not only had he gained valuable skills and knowledge in business administration, but he also developed important personal and professional qualities such as teamwork, communication and problem-solving. Aaron’s commitment and hard work didn’t go amiss and saw him become a valuable member of the accounts department.

After completing his apprenticeship, he was eager to explore new opportunities to develop his skills and grow his career within the company. Aaron was offered the chance to pursue further education in accountancy by providing him with the opportunity to complete his AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 1 qualification. Albert Jagger provided Aaron with flexible working hours, so he could balance his studies with his work commitments; this support allowed him to complete his qualification successfully.

Albert Jagger’s commitment to supporting Aaron’s professional development is an example of how we are committed to helping our employees grow, providing opportunities for training and offering support and guidance along the way.
