Chamber Business Award Winners Revealed

And The Winners Are……………

Chamber Business Awards Celebrate the Region’s Talent, Tenacity & Transformation

The 22nd Black Country Chamber Business Awards took place this evening (9th November) with the spotlight shining on individual businesses, and the people within them, as an audience of over 500 gathered at Wolverhampton Racecourse for the glittering annual celebration.

Championing the talent, tenacity, and transformation, which puts the Black Country on the map, the great and the good from businesses across the region hit the sellout red carpet awards in their finery to hear the winners announced, and those specially commended by the judging panel across thirteen categories.

Against a stunning awards backdrop, and elegant, if not funky, table decorations specially designed and created for the occasion by team members and apprentices working in several Chamber member manufacturing businesses - Stainless Steel Services Ltd, Metsec, ASSA Abloy Opening Solutions, Birchills Sculptures and Zaun, the people playing their part in vital areas of the region’s economy were celebrated for their hard work, determination, innovation and for their kindness to others.

With stunning handmade corporate biscuits handed to the winners alongside their coveted trophies, courtesy of a Start-Up Chamber member, Dear Emily Designs, the awards once again reflected some of the challenges businesses continue to face in the changing economic climate.

A host of surprises lay in store for the assembled audience including a captivating performance from Britian’s Got Talent finalist and Tipton based, Amy Lou.

Meanwhile the audience dug deep with a rousing competition of head and tails raising over £3100 for the Chamber’s chosen charity of the year, Black Country Mental Health, in a bid to help those struggling with mental health issues across the region.

Sarah Moorhouse, Chamber CEO said, “It was fantastic evening of celebration and gave us the opportunity to showcase and profile the innovative, successful, and high-performing businesses that are located right across the Black Country.

“Our awards are always popular, but we received the highest number of applications in every category this year, beating previous years hands down, meaning the evening was a complete sell out and we had a long waiting list for tickets.

“The wide range of categories resonated with many and helped give recognition to a range of sectors and business approaches, which all contribute to driving forward growth and investment across the area, as well celebrate the region’s talent and tenacity.

“There is always a fierce appetite for our awards celebration night which are only possible because of the support of our members, our sponsors and our local businesses; I would like to thank everyone who was involved again this year for making it such a special night and great way for me personally to celebrate my first year at the Chamber as CEO.”
