The Black Country Chamber of Commerce has launched a recruitment drive to appoint three new team members

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce has launched a recruitment drive to appoint three new team members to play their part in the organisation’s drive to reenergise the local economy in 2024.

The Chamber of Commerce, the leading business support agency for firms based within or doing business across Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall, is recruiting a Head of Marketing & Communications, an Events & Projects Officer and a Press & PR Officer, all to further strengthen the growing team.

All three appointments will be part of efforts by the Chamber in 2024 to support its mission to promote and meet the needs of business and industry across the Black Country and to help create the best community in which to live, work and do business.

The Head of Marketing & Communications role will suit a dynamic individual who is a pro-active, creative and highly experienced in leading marketing and communications. With strong stakeholder management skills, they should be able to work collaboratively to drive change as the role will be an opportunity to connect with people to celebrate the best of the region.

Candidates must have a strong track record in implementing effective marketing communications strategies, with a keen eye for detail as well as a passion for harnessing data and using insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement. Full details are available to download here.

Applicants for the Events & Projects Officer position should be well connected in the commercial world, understand the make-up of businesses in the region and have experience of working with a variety of corporate partners and stakeholders to create impactful events and experiences.

Working on flagship events such as the Economic Conference and the annual awards, which saw 500 people attend a black tie dinner in November, the successful candidate can expect to substantially grow the impact of Chamber events with briefings, forums and knowledge sharing sessions. The Press & PR Officer job will suit an enthusiastic, flexible and organised individual who can grow the Chamber’s reach locally, regionally, nationally and globally by leading on the development of our internal and external communications via all platforms and media.

The Chamber is looking for someone with a creative eye and good interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively to celebrate the best of the region and who wants to develop and grow their communications skills in a dynamic organisation. You can read more here.
