Chamber Awards to Be Postponed

As a mark of respect to the Her Late Majesty, this Friday's Awards will be postponed.

Following the very sad news of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II, like many of you we have been reviewing our planned activities over the next few weeks.

With confirmation over the weekend that her funeral will take place on Monday 19th, we have made the decision to postpone our awards which were due to take place this Friday, 16th September.

Her late Majesty became Patron of the British Chambers of Commerce a few months after her ascension to the throne and, over the last 70 years, was a passionate advocate for the Chamber network.

The awards were designed to be an in person celebration for the local business community for the first time since 2019 and we feel it would be inappropriate to celebrate in this way, so close to her funeral.

Our thanks go to the awards sponsors, venue, everybody who has booked tickets and all our finalists for their support and understanding in this decision.

We are currently looking to reschedule for an evening in October or November and will be in touch with partners and ticket holders as soon as we have a date confirmed.

We hope that you will be able to join us on the new date as we recognise the achievements, accomplishments and resilience of our amazing Black Country businesses.
