Chamber Welcomes British Banking Giant to its Platinum Group

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce has welcomed Lloyds Bank to its Platinum Group this month, the Chamber’s exclusive platform for business leaders which sees them come together to identify opportunities and tackle some of the challenges that impact businesses across the region.

Lloyds Bank, which has served the people, businesses and communities across the country for over 250 years, boasts over 1,000 high street branches, an award-winning online, mobile and telephone banking service, and is one of the UK’s leading retail and commercial banks serving millions of customers.

Richard Jenkins, area director for Lloyds in the region, and a regional manufacturing and sustainability ambassador for the bank, said, “This builds on our existing, strong relationship with the Chambers which we’ve had for many years, particularly across the Midlands and we’re delighted to be joining the Platinum Group at the Black Country Chamber.

“Most recently we’ve partnered with the British Chambers of Commerce to explore the challenges and opportunities for SMEs as they transition to net zero, which we know is critical to Black Country businesses and their wider supply chains.

“This partnership will not only enable us to deepen our insights and strengthen our business relationships across the Black Country, but also provide a forum for us to share our significant regional and sectoral expertise to support local SMEs."

Joining the likes of the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, KMB Shipping and Juniper Training, Lloyds will be looked after by head of premium memberships, Gail Arnold, she said, “I’m thrilled to welcome such a prestigious and household name to the Platinum Group.
