Chamber Welcomes Digital Content Creator

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce have expanded their external affairs team this month with the arrival of Lauren McGowan to the role of content officer.

Lauren, a former University of Wolverhampton graduate, brings her creativity and digital marketing expertise to the established and award nominated external affairs team, who lead on all member and external communications for the region’s longest running business support organisation.

Lauren, who lives in Telford and who previously looked after content creation and social media for Wolverhampton based BCRS Business Loans, brings extensive marketing, copywriting and communication skills to the role, which sees her report directly to digital communications and marketing manager, Shahanaz Rahman.

Lauren said, “Having previously worked for a business that is a member of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, I understand the work of the Chamber and the value that membership can bring to businesses across the region.

“My role here will continue to help spread the message that we are the go-to place for business support in the Black Country.

“The team have welcomed me with open arms, and I’m excited to get stuck in and help continue to spread the Chamber name and reputation far and wide.”

Chamber CEO Sarah Moorhouse said, “Lauren brings with her a wealth of experience and I am so very pleased to welcome her to the Chamber team.

“As our members are at the heart of everything we do, having Lauren on board will only amplify our support on offer to showcase and champion what businesses in the Black Country are all about!”
