A host of charities are set to benefit from a Health Cash Plan provider’s fundraising initiative for the fourth year running.

Paycare, a Wolverhampton based not-for-profit, launched its MyGiving scheme in 2019, providing each team member with £250 which can either be directly donated to a charity of their choice, or used to kickstart a fundraiser.

Now in its fourth year, the scheme has raised around £15,000 for worthwhile causes.

One charity close to the hearts of many of the team is The Haven Wolverhampton, which provides aid and a safe space for women and children experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse. Paycare has been a long-time supporter of the charity and fundraising efforts have been planned to help boost funds for them.

Christmas hampers are being created to be donated to the charity, in an attempt to provide the women and children with some joy this festive season - enabling them to pull crackers at the dinner table, exchange gifts and enjoy sweet treats.

Other charities who’ve benefited this year include Macmillan Cancer Support, who will receive £430 raised via a coffee morning and the MyGiving donation of Customer Support Manager Clare Jarvis.

Commercial Director Anthony Burns said: “Giving back to our communities is an integral part of the Paycare ethos, and we hope to be able to continue the MyGiving scheme for years to come. With money a little tighter for us all this year, we recognise that our support is needed now more than ever. We’re grateful to our loyal customers who support us, which in turn allows us to serve our community and give a little back. And, we are so incredibly proud of our team, external partners and supporters who enable us to wholeheartedly arrange and participate in these fantastic fundraising events”.
