Charlotte Davies will be sharing her personal story of blood cancer at TEDx Wolverhampton on 1 October.

Charlotte the Copywriter, aka Charlotte Davies, will be sharing her personal story of blood cancer at TEDx Wolverhampton on 1 October.

The talk, “If Your Life Were a Book, Is It a Story You’d Want to Read?”, details her experience of diagnosis, treatment and life afterwards.

Charlotte was selected from more than 75 applications and is joined by 11 other speakers.

The event takes place at Wolverhampton’s Arena Theatre and will be streamed online.  The video will also be able to watch via YouTube.

Charlotte said: “I’m excited to have the chance to share my story.

A cancer diagnosis is devastating. Treatment is gruelling. Most people understand that.

What many people don’t understand is the complex range of emotions after you are given the "all-clear". They range from happiness and relief to fear and grief.

I hope my talk will shed some light on this and offer some hope to people going through difficult and uncertain times. They don’t last forever.”

TEDx Wolverhampton is an independently organised TED event.  TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to "Ideas Worth Spreading". It started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago.

Charlotte started her copywriting business in May 2021. She was previously the Development Manager at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. 

She is a member of the Start Up Club and is a finalist for Start Up of the Year in the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. The winners will be announced at the ceremony on 14 October.
