A new management training course for people working in charities, social enterprises or community organisations has been launched by City of Wolverhampton College.

A new management training course for people working in charities, social enterprises or community organisations has been launched by City of Wolverhampton College.

The principles of leadership and management for social leaders diploma, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, is aimed at junior managers and supervisors to enable them to develop skills to help improve operational efficiency within their organisation.

The one-year part-time course includes modules covering the roles and responsibilities of a manager, leading and managing a social purpose organisation, planning a project, supporting day-to-day operations, providing instructions, direction and guidance, and supporting and monitoring goals.

Sessions are delivered remotely, via Microsoft Teams, twice a month with flexible start dates throughout the year, and participants will be required to sit a written exam at the end of each module.
