At Wolverhampton Grammar School, their outstanding CEIAG programme is jam-packed with workshops, trips, and work experience opportunities to help students explore their options and find their dream career. Calling all BCC businesses – can you help guide the next generation?

Ever wondered how astronauts train for space, or how video game designers create fantastical worlds? At Wolverhampton Grammar School, students don't just get taught about these exciting careers – they get shown them in action! The School’s outstanding CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance) programme is jam-packed with workshops, trips, and work experience opportunities to help students explore their options and find their dream career.

This term, one group of students went behind-the-scenes at the Jimmy Choo Academy in London, learning the art of fashion design. Another group got to network with sports professionals at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, whilst future veterinarians were exploring animal anatomy and skeletal systems with Meducators UK and Mei Fung, final year student at the Royal Veterinary College.

To mark National Apprenticeships Week and National Careers Week, Wolverhampton Grammar School worked with the Collins Aerospace, Kennedys Law, Aston University, See Her Potential, Harlequin Pantomime Productions and Willows Dental Practice to offer mentoring, taster days and careers insight for students in Years 7 to 12.

If your business can offer a work experience opportunity or you would like to be involved in future careers and apprenticeship fairs at Wolverhampton Grammar School, please contact Head of Careers, Miss Asha Kailey on ak@wgs-sch.net.
