Two of our team at JJX Logistics will be completing the London Landmark Half Marathon in early April raising funds for a charity that helps over 5,000 people in the Black Country every year.

In a little over a month, two members of the team here at JJX Logistics will be competing in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd April 2023 raising funds for a charity very close to us, Black Country Mental Health.

The LLHM was first organised back in 2018 and has raised over £30m since then for various causes with over 14,500 runners taking part every year.

If the task of running 13.1 miles wasn’t challenging enough, our very own Ben Brown and Ed Martin will be completing it wearing weighted vests under their running attire to represent the weight many people carry around with them that mental health can cause.

Our partnership with the fellow Black Country Chamber of Commerce members dates back over a decade when they were part of the nationwide Mind Federation.

“The charity is extremely close to me and has been for a long time.” spoke JJX Logistics Managing Director John Donovan. "They have been there for me when I have needed them most and since then it has been a mission of mine to help them in any and every way that we can."

Based in Dudley, Black Country Mental Health aim to improve, promote and enhance a better quality of life for people living across the Black Country affected by poor mental health with their fantastic efforts helping over 5,000 people of all ages every year!
