Time is running out for businesses to enter an awards ceremony, which will shine a light on the organisations and people that are among the best in the region.

The Express & Star Business Awards 2023 are open to companies from all sectors in a bid to find the best businesses, entrepreneurs, services and products from across the newspaper’s readership area.

Entries close at midnight on Friday, March 3rd. The awards celebrate businesses from the smallest single traders to major manufacturers employing hundreds of people.

Express & Star editor-in-chief Martin Wright said: “Each business is a vital part of our community, and the Express & Star Business Awards are the perfect opportunity to showcase their achievements. I would urge as many of these great businesses of all sizes as possible to take up the opportunity to enter our awards.

“This year’s presentation dinner at Wolverhampton Racecourse promises to be a celebration like no other. Business is a hugely important area for the Express & Star and we aim to give the very best coverage possible to companies of all sizes throughout the course of each year.

“These awards provide us with the chance to celebrate and reward the best of those and we hope to see many of the businesses whose stories we have told over the last year putting themselves forward for recognition. We hope to see entries from the newest to the most long-established companies in our area – and every one in between. So please, get those entries in, and let’s make this an occasion to remember.”

All the finalists, along with sponsors and other representatives from the region’s businesses and civic communities will attend the glittering awards night at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Thursday, June 8th 2023.

The awards can only be held because of the support from sponsors, Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology, Carvers, Collins Aerospace, Crowe, Higgs LLP, Homeserve Furniture Repairs, MNA Digital and Richardson.

Thanks also go to the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre who are once again sponsoring the drinks reception at the awards evening, Yarrington, who produce the event, Wolverhampton Racecourse, our chosen venue and Silvaman, who are our trophy sponsor.

Awards categories are: Apprentice of the Year, Best Marketing Campaign, Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Family Business of the Year, Growth and Innovation Award, Manufacturing Champion, Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year and Young Business of the Year.
