A special visitor was welcomed into Paycare House recently, as Wolverhampton’s Mayor paid a visit to the Health Cash Plan provider’s headquarters.

Councillor Sandra Samuels OBE – who has been a Paycare Policyholder for an incredible 40 years – met with CEO Kevin Rogers and Commercial Director Anthony Burns who led a tour of the building so she, and her consort and husband Karl Samuels, could meet some of the team from across different departments.

Councillor Samuels was first elected to Wolverhampton City Council in 2004 having spent many years before that taking part in community campaigns as well as working within the NHS for four decades.

As well as the tour, Kevin, Anthony and the team took her through a presentation about the history of Paycare, the not-for-profit’s significant community work, and their plans over the next few years.

Anthony said: “It was an honour to welcome Councillor Samuels and her consort Karl to Paycare House - we are very proud of our heritage in Wolverhampton and our continued contribution and commitment to the local community, so it was exciting to have the first citizen of the city tour our building.

“We’re delighted the Mayor has been a loyal Paycare Policyholder for an amazing four decades, which made it even more fantastic to be able to share with her the plans we have for the future. These plans are designed to enable us to continue and expand the support that we provide for individuals, families and employees to help improve their health and happiness - not just in Wolverhampton, but further afield too.

“Thank you to Councillor Samuels and her husband for taking the time to visit, and we hope they found the tour and presentation insightful!”
