New Starbucks café set to bring 18 more jobs to Merry Hill

Merry Hill is welcoming the world’s largest coffeehouse and fast-growing American brand Starbucks, as the centre continues to bring new and exciting food and drink options to shoppers.

The centre’s second Starbucks café will open its door on Wednesday 27th September on the Lower Mall near Lush and Suit Direct, creating 18 new jobs for the local community. The first 50 customers served on opening day will receive a hamper full of Starbucks goodies.

Merry Hill visitors will be able to enjoy iconic recently returned Autumnal favourites including Pumpkin Spice Latte, Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, and choose from a broad range of dairy alternative options for free.

Alongside a popular selection of coffees, visitors can choose from the highest quality, tasty wraps, sandwiches, paninis and toasties, as well as sweet treats including cake pops, muffins, cookies croissants and can get into the Halloween spirit with Starbuck’s Skeleton Barista Cookie.

The new store is an exciting addition to the thriving food and drink scene at the shopping destination, following on from the arrival of renowned restaurant brand Wagamama at Merry Hill in June and with more announcements to come during the rest of the year.

Mark Goule, District Manager at Starbucks, said: “We are excited to open another new café in Merry Hill, just in time for visitors to try out our Autumn menu with our ever-popular pumpkin flavoured favourites and a host of sweet treats.”

Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill, added: “We are thrilled to welcome a new and the second Starbucks inside Merry Hill. We know this will be a firm favourite among our shoppers, especially over the Autumn and Winter months.

“The opening adds to our vibrant mix of leisure experiences, restaurants, cafes, and everything Eat Central has to offer too, and comes shortly after the recent openings of Wagamama and Hollywood Bowl. Starbucks join at a time when the choices for how our visitors spend time with us is expanding considerably as we continue to offer unrivalled convenience and experience for shoppers.”
