Osborn Communications supports Black Country Chamber of Commerce as interim communications partner

Black Country Chamber of Commerce has appointed member PR agency Osborn Communications as interim communications partner to promote its impact in the region.

Osborn Communications, the Chamber’s 2021 start-up of the year award winner, will handle press and public relations work on an interim basis, promoting the Chamber as a positive membership group for Black Country businesses while celebrating member success stories.

Osborn will produce Chamber news to be shared via its website and social media, member channels such as emails and through liaising with external media. The agency, which specialises in helping businesses communicate with target audiences, will also help produce the Chamber’s well-established business publication Prosper.

Osborn have been brought on board while the Chamber recruits a new lead for press, public relations and communications.

Chamber CEO Sarah Moorhouse said: “We are delighted to enlist the support of Osborn Communications to deliver the Chamber’s communications and media work, promoting our own successes and those of our member businesses of all sizes, as part of our drive to reenergise and refocus for 2024.

“As a Chamber we firmly believe we should work with partners who are members of our organisation, so we are pleased to enlist the support of a business which has grown since winning our 2021 start-up award and helped a range of our companies to grow their profile.”

Osborn Communications director Chris Leggett commented: “We are pleased to have been chosen as the Black Country Chamber’s interim communications partner and are excited to work with the team. The Black Country has a wealth of thriving and innovative companies so we look forward to supporting all member businesses and promoting their successes across the region and beyond.”

The move comes after Sarah Thompson, who managed press, PR and communication for the Chamber since 2018, left to take up a new role.

Sarah Moorhouse said: “We would like to wish Sarah the very best for her new role and thank her for her five years with us, which included communicating during the challenging Covid pandemic. We wish her every success for the future.”
