Sponsor Announced for Best Third Sector Business Award

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce have today announced their next sponsor in this year’s annual Chamber Business Awards. Sandwell College, the largest provider of 16-19 study programmes in the West Midlands with centres of learning based on three campuses, are to sponsor the Chamber’s Best Third Sector Business Award at this year’s glittering awards ceremony held next month.

Assistant Director of External Engagement at the college, Jessica Lewis said, “We are delighted to be the category sponsor for the Third Sector Award this year – a fantastic recognition of the hard work, dedication and perseverance undertaken by charities and not for profit organisations on a daily basis to improve the lives of others, the world we live in and the impact they have on society and the environment.

“Hearing individual stories, highlighting and showcasing the sometimes-unseen projects that are being implemented across our region means as a community college we are dedicated to the community we serve and are honoured to be part of the celebration of these amazing individuals and organisations and the fantastic work they do.”

The Black Country Chamber Awards, now in their 21st year, will once again reflect the challenges and opportunities of Covid-19, with a host of new categories reflecting the changing economic climate and a programme that has rapidly been established as a mark of quality for the region’s businesses.

The Awards will also shine a spotlight on individual businesses and people working in vital parts of the region’s economy whilst championing innovation, collaboration, and outstanding practices, which puts the Black Country on the map.

The Black Country Chamber Business Awards, delivered by the region’s longest established business support organisation will be supported by a judging panel of industry representatives along with a distinguished list of business sponsors.

The Awards will culminate in a spectacular live evening event of celebration at Wolverhampton Racecourse on 16th September heralding a full fanfare return for the prestigious event following its virtual and hybrid delivery over the last two years.
