The Stourbridge Shuttle is working with local star, George the Cat, to host pop-up merchandising event for charity.

Pre Metro is excited to announce a pop-up charity merchandising event on the 10th of October, working in partnership with the beloved George the Stourbridge Junction Cat and West Midland Railway.

The initiative is supporting the Side By Side Theatre Company, a local charity that helps to support adults with learning disabilities through theatre production and dance, giving them the confidence to express their individuality.

Local residents and passengers are invited to Platform 1 at the Stourbridge Junction between 10am and 2pm, where exclusive tote bags filled with freebies or specially designed wrap-around mugs can be collected with a suggested cash donation of £5.

The Stourbridge Shuttle operation has sponsored Side by Side since January 2022 and are excited to showcase their support with colleagues.

Geoff Lusher, Chairman of Pre Metro, stated:

“We are delighted to be hosting this event and working with George, a local celebrity in his own right, as well as our colleagues at West Midlands Railway. We hope this event shines a light on the admirable work of the Side By Side Theatre Company and showcases their upcoming Christmas show.”

With a limited number of tote bags and mugs available, people are encouraged to visit early to avoid disappointment. For those unable to attend but wishing to contribute, donations can be made directly to Side By Side Theatre Company.

The event promises to be an entertaining fundraiser, where residents and passengers are encouraged to come together, enjoy the offerings, and make a difference.
