Starting Point Recruitment Announce Yet Another Record-Breaking Year of Charitable Giving

West Midlands based responsible recruitment specialists, Starting Point Recruitment (SPR), have today announced yet another record-breaking year of charitable giving for the business. During the financial year of 2021-22, SPR gifted a total of £801,423 to employment support projects operating across the region; an increase of 32% on the previous year.

Since their formation in 2003, SPR have committed to reinvesting 100% of all annual profits through charitable giving. To date, the agency has gifted more than £3.9m to parent organisation, Steps To Work, with proceeds dedicated towards the provision of employment support services for those who are positioned furthest away from the jobs market. This includes those with a range of disabilities, sensory impairments or mental health issues, as well as refugees, migrants, ex-offenders and the long-term unemployed. Each year, Steps To Work support over 12,000 people living throughout the West Midlands to raise their aspirations, access training and secure sustainable, rewarding and meaningful employment.

Dr. Richard Fallon, Chair of the Board of Non-Executive Directors at Starting Point Recruitment, commented: “Everyone at SPR is delighted with today’s announcement, highlighting not only the dedication and resilience of our teams, but also demonstrating our commitment towards bringing about transformative change. “As a recruitment agency, we are proud to be truly unique and pioneering in our approach, with social responsibility integrated into everything we do. Going beyond profit motivation, we are committed to delivering a socially conscious recruitment experience that provides local employment opportunities, helping businesses to thrive and encouraging communities to flourish.

“Whilst the world of work has transformed significantly over the last 20 years, we remain true to our community-building approach. Over the next 12 months, we hope to build upon yet another record-breaking year of charitable giving, so that we can continue to help those in our local community - many of whom face multiple barriers - to build a brighter future.”
