Steps To Work, West Midlands-based employment support specialists, are pleased to announce a partnership with Oxbridge to donate laptops to advance education in Morocco. This initiative, born from this year Acorns’ Sahara trek in which Steps To Work CEO Paul Cadman has taken part, aims to provide technological resources to those in Morocco who are most in need. The Sahara Trek, which raised an impressive £105,570 for Acorns Hospice Trust, has paved the way for this new venture.

During the charitable expedition, Prof. Paul Cadman collaborated with Matt from Oxbridge, leading to a partnership that extends the spirit of giving beyond monetary aid. Steps To Work, in alignment with its mission to support individuals into employment and further training, have taken a step further by equipping Morocco’s communities with the tools necessary for digital inclusion.

As a result of this initiative, 20 laptops have been donated and given to individuals who need them. "We are thrilled to be able to contribute to the advancement of education in Morocco through this initiative," said Paul Cadman, CEO of Steps To Work. "Our Sahara trek was a testament to human resilience and compassion, and this partnership with Oxbridge allows us to extend our impact beyond the trek itself and to support more individuals."

“During our volunteering efforts in Marrakech, I spent some time with the senior team at the educational centre. They were keen to understand how things worked in the UK, and we exchanged ideas. It was clear that the children were lacking exposure to digital skills, held back by a lack of equipment. This felt like something we could help solve, and after a chat with Paul, we made it a reality.” said Matt Jones from Oxbridge.
