An intrepid trio will be taking to the skies in support of a domestic abuse charity.

Anthony Burns, Nickeita Ashton and Sally Bromley from Paycare are set to join The Haven Wolverhampton’s skydive this summer to mark the charity’s 50th anniversary.

Between them, the three fundraisers are hoping to raise £1,200 which will be used to support services for women and children vulnerable to domestic abuse and homelessness.

Sally, who is Paycare’s Partnerships Manager, said: “My reason for taking part is two-fold. A skydive has been on my bucket list for a while and I was looking to complete a challenge this year!

“The Haven is a charity we work closely with at Paycare and is very close to my heart. Helping them celebrate their 50th anniversary by taking part in this exciting event seemed like the perfect challenge.

“At the moment I’m excited but I’m not sure if I’ll feel the same on 11th June!”

Anthony added: “I’ve always wanted to throw myself out of a plane, and what better reason to do it than to help The Haven’s 50th year.

“They provide such an incredibly valuable service to some of the most vulnerable in our community. Long may they continue!”

Paycare is a not-for-profit Health Cash Plan provider which has supported community and charitable groups during its 149-year history. The organisation has built up a special link with The Haven, donating packages of food and essentials, taking part in previous fundraisers such as a firewalk, and sponsoring services such as the Language Line which provides instant translations for over 240 languages to enable The Haven to provide support for even more women affected by domestic abuse.
