The Black Country Chamber of Commerce speaks to the Business Development Manager at the Wolves Foundation.

In the latest Ready for 2024 interview, Kieron Ansell, Business Development Manager at the Wolves Foundation, says he will be focussing on developing new funder relationships and building on existing ones to help the charity support more local communities this year.

Through Ready for 2024, the Black Country Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the companies looking forward to building success in 2024.

We are featuring member firms, ranging from start-ups to large companies, on the Chamber website and social media channels to get their views on the opportunities ahead during the next year.

The Wolves Foundation, which is a Gold member of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, is the official charity of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It supports the communities of Wolverhampton by identifying their needs and developing outreach projects to help them.

What will your business be focussing upon in 2024?

This year we will be focussing on the retention of funders, developing new funder relationships, developing new delivery projects and maintaining current projects.

What are your hopes for the Black Country economy and its businesses in 2024?

We would like to see the development of the Wolverhampton night-time economy and the development of entertainment space within the city.

Why will the Black Country be a great place to do business in the 12 months ahead?

Wolverhampton, as well as being our home, is driven by a local authority which has a dedicated focus on developing the City as a visitor destination. With that there is revived enthusiasm from stakeholders, including ourselves, to make Wolverhampton and the Black Country as a whole, a better place to live work and visit.

What will you use your Chamber membership for in the year ahead?

We are hoping to use our Chamber membership for networking, sharing company updates, developing peer relations and developing our own brand visibility.

What do you hope will happen for the UK economy as a whole?

Growth, stability and a reduction in numbers of those relying on third sector services

What does your company do?
