Resource Worldwide helps businesses by supplying remote professionals. These are highly qualified and talented individuals who are looking for the next step in their career, but they aren’t based in the UK.

Sophie Dearden, Resource Worldwide Co-Founder, said: “We started out by helping businesses find VAs from the Philippines, but there seemed to be an incredible demand for more skilled roles. Before we knew it we were placing engineers, draughtsman, digital marketers and so much more.

Since 2021, the business has doubled its growth every year, and it’s on track to hit its goal of helping more than 1000 businesses by 2025.

Discussing why remote professionals seem to be in such high demand, Sophie said: “A few years ago, this probably wasn’t an easy option for many businesses, but with remote working from anywhere in the world now such an easy thing to do, it’s opened up the possibilities.

“We’re hearing so many stories of businesses who are losing a lot of money from trying to recruit, and even if they do find the right candidate, the churn rate is really high. People aren’t staying in roles for very long, leaving businesses back at square one all over again and even more out of pocket.

“We take matching on skills and business culture very seriously. We want this to be a long term relationship, with everyone happy on both sides. Our recruiters are trained psychologists and our approach is highly consultative. This isn’t about plugging a gap, it’s about ensuring businesses are getting what they need to thrive.”

Based in Halesowen, the company initially focused on helping a lot of businesses in the West Midlands, but as word got out about their service, they now have clients all over the world.
